I ordered a pack of these and rushed out to try one as soon as they arrived. I was very pleasantly surprised.I’ve been jumping rope consistently, often daily, for 40 years. I’ve tried just about every kind of jumprope there is and have found the cheap ones work as well, for me as the expensive ones. Yes there are differences in the ropes, I just haven’t found the differences to have much effect on the quality of my workouts. YMMV. These ropes seem sturdy, work fine and the price is great. There are 2 things that cause me concern:1. I just received the rope and don’t have any idea how long it will last. It seems well made. I’ve owned a few of these plastic ropes at various prices and these seem about as tough as any. If you’re jumping on a very rough surface, they may not last long. It shouldn’t be a big problem on a gym floor, carpet, or smooth concrete.Edit: I’ve had these ropes for 4 months now. I jump rope every day mostly on a pergo deck, but I have jumped a few times on rough concrete when traveling. I’m still using the first rope out of the box and I don’t see any obvious signs of wear on it. I feel like the one question I had about the ropes longevity has been answered. They hold up very well under normal usage.2. The ropes are short-ish. I’m ~5′ 10.5″ tall and they’re the perfect length for me out of the box without trimming. If I were much taller, the length might be a problem.All-in-all I’m pleased with my purchase and would recommend these.
